Turn your trading cards into cash
Do you have cards at home just gathering dust in a cupboard? We buy them; fairly, transparently, and without you having to list them, pack them, or negotiate with buyers yourself.
We purchase Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, and Yu-Gi-Oh! cards. One Piece and Lorcana upon request.
Our prices are based on the trend price on Cardmarket, meaning what the card is actually worth on the largest European marketplace. No gut feelings, no fantasy numbers.
How to submit your cards
Upload CSV file (preferred)
Export your collection from the app or program you use to catalog or track your cards, and upload the file in the form above. The cards will be added to the list automatically. The format is very simple, one line per card:
Name;Set;Number;Language;Condition;Quantity
Charizard;BS;4/102;DE;EX;1
Lightning Bolt;M11;149;EN;NM;4
Use a semicolon or comma as a separator; headers are welcome. The column names don't have to match exactly: we automatically recognize exports from common collection and scanning apps as well as tables from Excel, Numbers, or Google Sheets. If the export doesn't work, I'm happy to provide advice.
Enter list
One line per card with Name, Set Code, Card Number, Language, Condition, and Quantity. You can also paste a table directly from Excel.
Upload photos
For large collections or if you are unsure, simply send us photos. We will then create the list ourselves.
Where to find the details: The set code and card number are on the bottom left of the card, usually in small print. On older cards, only the number is present. Unsure? Leave the field blank, and we will fill in missing information ourselves. Name and condition are the most important factors.
How it works
1. Send request Provide a list, CSV file, or photos. For valuable individual cards, a photo of the front and back is helpful.
2. Receive an offer We will review your list and contact you with a specific amount via email. The offer is valid for 7 days and is non-binding.
3. Ship the cards If you are satisfied with the price, send the cards to us. See below for instructions on how to pack them securely.
4. Receive payment Upon receipt, we will inspect them within 3 business days. After the inspection, we will pay out via bank transfer or PayPal within another 3 business days.
What we pay
Single cards
The basis for single cards is the currently lowest Cardmarket price for the respective card, taking into account the language and condition of your card. We pay between 75 and 80 percent of this; the exact amount depends on the liquidity of the card, i.e., how well and how quickly it can be resold.
We buy cards in German, English, and Japanese. Other languages only by prior arrangement.
Bulk - cards with a 2020 copyright or older
For older bulk items, we pay fixed prices per card without evaluating each one individually. You don't need to list these separately; the quantities per stack are sufficient:
| Type |
Per card |
| Holo |
€0.15 |
| Reverse Holo |
€0.06 |
| Common / Uncommon |
€0.02 |
-
Holo - shiny image, matte frame
-
Reverse Holo - shiny frame, matte image
-
Common / Uncommon - completely matte, circle or diamond at bottom right/left
Good to know
Minimum amount €5
Below this value, the effort is not worthwhile for either side.
Limited budget
Vampycards is a small, independent buyer; not a wholesaler with unlimited funds. This is not an issue for most requests, but for very expensive singles or larger collections, it may happen that we have to reject or adjust an offer because it simply exceeds our budget. For exceptionally valuable items, just let us know, and we will clarify in advance whether and how we can manage it.
Shipping to us
You cover the costs. We recommend insured shipping with tracking; we cannot be held responsible for losses on the way to us.
If the condition differs
No drama. We will contact you with an adjusted offer. If you decline, we will send the cards back at our expense.
Cards we cannot accept
- Water damage, creases through the image, missing corners, mold
- written on, stickered, or trimmed cards
- counterfeits and unlicensed reprints
Assessing condition
We evaluate based on the Cardmarket condition guide. Look at the card from both sides under good light and pay attention to edges, corners, and the surface.
Near Mint (NM) Like straight from the booster pack. At most, minimal traces visible only upon close inspection.
Excellent (EX) Slight signs of use. Small white dots on the edges or a slightly blunt corner.
Good (GD) Clearly visible marks on several edges or corners, but no creases.
Light Played (LP) Significant edge wear, light surface scratches, or a very light crease.
Played (PL) Clear creases, heavy scratches, scuffed corners. The card is still intact.
Poor (PO) Water damage, tears, writing, or heavy warping.
When in doubt: Select the question mark in the form or include a photo. We will perform the evaluation ourselves. Our offer is always based on the actual condition, which we will inform you about beforehand.
How to pack correctly
Place valuable singles in a sleeve and toploader, then between two layers of cardboard. Pack bulk items in stacks within the box, filling any hollow spaces. Loose cards in a half-empty box will arrive damaged. Include a note with your name and your request number.
Please only send us cards once you have accepted our offer.
